HX Stomp Preset | Smooth Slap Bass

I created this preset as part of my series called 'Basslines I Love and Why' for the track 'So Naughty' by Chaka Khan.

There are two slap sounds that I generally differentiate between. One is modern and crisp; the other is smooth and warm. This preset definitely leans toward the smooth, warm side of the spectrum! I created the "Smooth Slap Bass" preset for the HX Stomp to enhance my slap bass sound, just as I do with my warm analog pedals. It's also great for fingerstyle playing. It was designed with the smooth slap sound of Maxwell's song 'Sumthin' Sumthin'' and a 70's jazz bass in mind, but it works well with any type of bass.
